Animal Coalition of Tampa
There’s Digger, Max, Curly, Rambo, Leo, Jazzman, and Boy! Oh and Lilly, Whiskers, and Pete!! Oh my!!
These are the cats and dogs! And nearly 10,000 more have been spayed or neutered at Animal Coalition of Tampa’s low cost clinic. They and their owners owe their thanks to compassionate, generous people like you. Spay/neuter helps pets live longer, healthier lives, is eco-friendly, and it benefits the community as well. ACT is a licensed, 501(c)3 organization that was founded in 2001 with a mission to end killing as a means to control pet overpopulation in Hillsborough County. Our services include:
- Low cost, high quality spay and neuter of cats and dogs at the
- ACT Spay/Neuter Clinic
- Monthly for feral (unowned, stray, lost) cats
- Vaccinations
- Microchips
- Low cost pet products
Managed by volunteers from the local community and staffed by experienced veterinary professionals, ACT makes the most of every dollar you donate.
Currently, there are close to 20,000 cats and dogs put down each year in Hillsborough County (over 40,000 in Tampa Bay) because there are too many for the available homes. That’s not okay with us. From the success of other communities, we’ve learned that the best way to end this tragedy is to spay and neuter before the unwanted litters are produced. Another is to keep the animals in their homes. To do that, affordable care, especially in our economic times, is imperative.
